We had nice warm weather on Saturday and Sunday was a little cooler. Hardly Strictly Bluegrass takes place in the Golden Gate Park and it's free. We went there on both days mainly to listen to Peter Rowan and some Irish music. It was fun despite too much pot and alcohol around us.
The park is in the seasonal transition with a few still flowering plants, fallen leaves, yellow trees, drying berry bushes and lonely benches. But there's beauty in everything despite the season and whether one likes it or not.
On Sunday we explored the De Young Museum. I saw Kiki Smith's work in person for the first time and discovered Karen LaMonte whose cast glass piece touches my soul. Marylin Pappas is another artist I came across in the exhibit.
