Thanks giving day

The cat would not let me near him

Bright red building in the sun
Rainy season is here - and it poured and poured before and after Thanks giving. Gusty winds shaking the trees and blowing things around - it was so calming to listen to the sound of rain falling on the roof. We went to a benefit Yoga class with one of my favorite teachers in the bay area. Instead of driving we walked to the studio. It was very pleasant to walk after the rains and breath the clean fresh air. On the way we saw (and felt) wet fallen leaves, water stained dark streets, umbrellas and rain boots and puddles. Nature offers us so much and it was blissful to intake all that beauty on a quiet day.

Peacock feather

When I opened the door one beautiful sunny day, I spotted the feather swaying in the light breeze. It was very mysterious. It reminded me of the playful and hungry Lord Krishna. I thought of a movie song about this blue God that I performed as a kid, portraying his evil habits, such as stealing milk and butter, pulling young girls' braids and so on. When I was a kid, I used to have one to several tucked away in my text books in the hope of getting many a baby peacocks. I wonder if the kids still do it.
