Armstrong Woods

It was our second time at Armstrong Woods. Going to the woods is one of our favorite activities. The coolness, depth, mystery, and beauty of wilderness is just heavenly. In a way walking in the forest, inhaling the scented air, and experiencing the nature untouched by human hands, purifies the body and mind. Life once again becomes precious.

We took that scary, winding, narrow dirt road to the frog pond. The sun was out and it was quite a nice day. The air was so fresh, clean and sweet with mixed scents (mainly bay). We smelt leaves, blossoms and fungi. Tasted a few leaves from different plants. We gathered some ash for our tiny backyard garden and for my dye projects. Talked to a ranger who has spotted bob cats, wild pigs, foxes and coyotes. At some point we saw this beautiful apple tree blossoming in the wilderness. Of course we did a few Yoga poses too.
